Nnika Francis Nnika Francis

Nnika Francis born in Grenada, the "Isle of Spice", came to realize her passion for singing and performing at a very young age. Nnika Francis also known as "Nnika" within the entertainment world is one of Grenada's youngest and most talented Soca artistes. While in High School she came to realize her deep passion and love for music by participating in many talent competitions. Nnika, recorded and released her first two singles in 2004 which were "My Number One" and "Put Dem Up".

These two songs dominated the airwaves, and Grenadian's referred to Nnika as, "Little Diva". In 2005 Nnika wrote the hit single "My Love". This single not only earned her the respect of the Grenadian Public but it also earned her 5th place in Grenada’s Soca Monarch competition. Later on that year Nnika remixed "My Love" with one of Trinidad’s leading male performers Bunji Garlin. For Trinidad's 2007 Carnival, Nnika wrote and performed the single "Don't let me go" which was produced by Shellshock.

This song was the highlight of her career as it became very popular throughout Trinidad and Tobago and it earned her a place in the International Groovy Soca Monarch Finals. In 2007, for Grenada’s Carnival Nnika continued to make waves in the industry. Her skill and talent afforded her the opportunity of working with one of the Caribbean’s most talented producers in the industry, Leston Paul. Leston not only produced, but wrote her hit single "Boy your love".

This combination was definitely a success as the song earned her third place in the Grenada’s National Groovy Soca Competition. In September of 2007 at The International Soca Awards, Nnika won "BEST FEMALE VOCALIST" for her single "Don’t Let Me Go", beating out icons in the industry such as Destra Garcia, Patrice Roberts, Sanell Dempster and Nadia Batson.
