SPIN D MUSIC presented Reggae-Mite #2... Spread It Twice and we've got to thank our supporters who came out to take in this fete.On a hot Sydney evening, unusual for September weather, it was all about Reggae, Dancehall & Soca music. Requests poured in early for a Bob Marley session and guest DJ Heero from the Gold Finger crew delivered as he touched the wheels of steel. He followed this up by the heavy dancehall requests to the sounds of Movado and Elephant Man on the "To the World Riddim". Nuff big chunes were in the dance as the Emperor Chin came thru to follow up with some heavy riddims. We also want to thank all the ladies who entered into our annual Miss Reggae-Mite contest. The theme is always Australia meets the Caribbean and we were doing it for fun to promote a lady with grace, attitude and wining skills! Congrats goes out to Ella as the recipient for this prestigious SDM award and also thanks to Bacardi as our official sponsor for the night and their iPod Nano donation. Also we must say thanks to the management and staff at Jackson's on George for their continued support for SDM events. |
