What can we say about the Mighty Sparrow? At age 71 he was rocking the Enmore Theatre in Sydney with with classics dating back forty years ago! Do you remember Jean & Dinah, Congo Man, Ten to One is MURDER!! Well, the Honourable Dr. Slinger Francisco played his first set for a straight half an hour with pure Soca & Calypso classics. This was Sparrow at his best…Aye Aye Aye…. and everyone knows the Birdie must throw down his signature wine to entice the ladies in the crowd. The Trini and Bajan massives came out in full force to support the legendary Mighty Sparrow with whistles and flags, and when the Birdie asked for something up in the air, boy oh boy did the crowd respond……. with a sea of hands waving to the infectious calypso riddims.
