Value of a Lady, the single from dancehall deejay Bramma, has scored good grades with its lyrical content and urgent delivery. The song, which was produced by Jordan McClure of Chimney Records, is accompanied by an interesting video clip, which has been making the rounds at most video outlets.
Released in time for Mother's Day, Value of a Lady, according to Bramma, is his salute to mothers and women of the world in general. "The struggles that my mother has been through was what motivated me to write the song," Bramma revealed.
Value of a Lady is his first official single released. Copies were distributed in Germany's Riddim Magazine, the only magazine that features reggae and dancehall artistes, as complementary track for the November 2007 issue. This development came about four months after the song was uploaded on myspace, when freelance writer, Anne Kummerloewe from Germany, flew to Jamaica to meet and interview Bramma, who she says was her choice to become dancehall's next mega star. The song is reportedly popular in Germany, Italy and France and has also created tour opportunities for the artiste. A 10-date tour of Europe is currently in the planning stages.
