Mavado has been recruited for an appearance on US-based, G Unit's second album, "Lock and Load," which is slated for release later this year.
G Unit is led by 50 Cent and made up of Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks and Young Buck. They shifted two millions copies of their 2003 debut album "Beg For Mercy."
According to his manager Julian Jones-Griffith it is another great endorsement for Mavado. "The other day Jay Z was telling Mavado he has taken dancehall to a whole other level, bringing Jamaican music to the ears of people who don't usually listen to the genre. Unfortunately Mavado had to miss the Madison Square Garden gig with Jay Z through his current situation, but as soon as Mavado is ready to travel Jay wants him to fly up and meet him."
"It's ironic how all these publications and icons around the world are showing him so much love and in his own country Mavado and dancehall music in general is facing such a battle." he continued.
