Shurwayne Sets The Stage For Double Video Release

From the heat of a bustling and intoxicating carnival season in Trinidad and Tobago to a children's show held the weekend after on sister isle Tobago, the adrenaline rush for 2008's Groovy Monarch winner, Shurwayne Winchester seems to have only just begun.

There's simply no doubt that his name is on the lips of many around the world as he continues to touch the hearts of not only Caribbean folk, but also those who hear his music for the very first time. In Toronto, persistent cold weather was enough to deter any islander but fully aware that his fans were eagerly awaiting his arrival even to party in the blistering cold, the "Carnival Please Stay," crooner stuck it out, rehearsed with a few friends in his hotel room and hit the stage, giving fans a show that left them yearning for more. Immediately after his Toronto performance, Shurwayne was off to Manhattan's posh Gypsy Tea night club for the Royal Caribbean Easter Sunday fete. There, he tore down the place with good vibes, good music and that humble persona that the ladies just seem to love.

Maintaining a level of excellence with great music and incomparable showmanship on any stage he hits, the Tobago born singer/songwriter is showing the world that soca music is not seasonal but rather, a sound that once embraced, breathes life, love and laughter into any situation. The end of March saw the SW Limited team head over to dancehall capital, Jamaica for their carnival.
